Planning a memorable occasion

Event planning
tips.

A little preparation makes any gathering better — especially one built around good company and a fine smoke.

Start with the date and the guest list

Everything else follows from these two answers. A firm date and even a rough headcount let you narrow venues, plan seating, and start the right conversations early. Peak-season Saturdays go first, so if your date is flexible, say so — a little flexibility buys better options.

Choose a setting that welcomes cigars

Ask the venue about their smoking policy before you book anything, not after. Outdoor spaces, covered patios, and well-ventilated halls make the experience comfortable for everyone. Confirm with the venue in writing, and think about neighbors and weather when you picture the evening.

Time it for the golden hour

A cigar moment lands best as its own chapter of the event — after dinner, as the evening settles, when guests can sit down and slow down. Build in unhurried time rather than squeezing it between announcements, and give the evening a natural arc: gather, dine, smoke, linger.

Plan for comfort

Comfortable seating, shade or warmth depending on the season, and a plan for wind and weather. Have water and non-alcoholic options within reach, and check in with guests who may prefer to sit upwind. The details your guests never noticed are the ones they will remember.

Ask the right questions before booking any mobile venue

Who handles setup and breakdown, and how long does it take? Is power available? What does the venue need from you — permits, space, access hours? A reputable host will answer plainly, and the answers belong in your written agreement.

A conversation beats a form

The best events are planned with people, not paperwork. Share your plans, ask your questions, and let the details come together in conversation. When you are ready, we are happy to talk about yours.
